Privacy

The short version: your data never reaches us, because there is nothing for it to reach.

All files are processed locally in your browser — your data never leaves your device.

No file uploads

Every hash and checksum on this site — SHA-256, SHA-512, SHA-1, MD5, CRC32, CRC16 and HMAC — is calculated by JavaScript running inside your own browser, using the Web Crypto API and open-source hashing libraries served as static files. When you select or drop a file, it is read locally by your browser and processed in memory chunks on your device. No file, text input, secret key, or hash result is ever transmitted to this site's servers or to any third party. You can confirm this yourself: load any tool page, disconnect from the internet, and it keeps working.

No server-side storage

This is a static website. There is no application server, no database, and no backend that could receive or store your data. The only thing our hosting provider serves is the fixed HTML, CSS and JavaScript files that make up these pages.

No user tracking

We do not use analytics scripts, advertising trackers, tracking cookies, or fingerprinting of any kind. The only data stored on your device is a single localStorage entry remembering your light/dark theme preference — it never leaves your browser and you can clear it at any time.

Hosting logs

Like any website, the static-file host (a content delivery network) may keep standard, short-lived server logs of page requests — IP address, user agent, requested URL — for security and operational purposes. These logs relate only to fetching the page files themselves; they can never contain the files you hash or the text you enter, because that data never leaves your device.

Questions about this policy? This is an independent, open tool site; the policy is intentionally simple because the architecture makes data collection impossible. Last updated: August 2026.
